CCVS at the Kitgum NGO Forum 2025 Annual General Meeting: Strengthening Partnerships for Thriving Communities

On 16th May 2025, CCVS joined hands with CBOs, NGOs, and government representatives at the KINGFO Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Kitgum District Council Hall.

As a board member of the Kitgum NGO Forum (KINGFO), we were excited to be part of a dynamic gathering focused on how we, as organizations, can collaborate to support and uplift our communities.

The AGM was a chance to come together, reflect, and plan for the future. It wasn’t just about formal reports and budgets (though those were important, too!) – it was about how we can collectively drive meaningful change. From sharing insights to listening to the challenges faced by our partners, the meeting was a powerful reminder of the strength of unity.

CCVS is committed to being a bridge between the community, local government, and our fellow organizations. Our involvement at the board level means we’re not just observers – we’re actively shaping the conversation around mental health care, peacebuilding, human rights, good governance, and creating networks that work for everyone.

At the heart of KINGFO’s mission is a simple but powerful idea: we are stronger together. And we have noticed this. District collaboration has been seen in the regular KINGFO meetings, support of KINGFO to individual CBO’s and NGO’s and standing together during district events. Whether it’s through sharing information, coordinating efforts, or championing community voices, the AGM showed us how collaboration fuels progress.

We’re looking forward to the year ahead – continuing to work closely with our partners, strengthening connections with local government, and ensuring that our communities are not just surviving, but truly thriving.
